On 9 July 2026, the Botswana Stock Exchange listed three Satrix exchange traded funds, connecting Botswana investors to the S&P 500, the MSCI World, and MSCI Emerging Markets indices through instruments priced in Pula, with no offshore account or exchange control requirement. The access problem this solves is real and long standing. A single unit of the MSCI World Feeder now gives an investor proportional exposure to more than 1,200 companies across 23 developed markets. The S&P 500 Feeder connects Botswana to an index ecosystem anchoring roughly USD 20 trillion in assets globally.
